Collage Research - Pablo Picasso

These are 2 pieces from Pablo Picasso which I caught my eye, I think these photo have a good use of colour and are easy on the eye also which he worked well as there is a lot going on in each piece but its still visually pleasing.

Noma Bar

A couple pieces of art work from Noma Bar...

I think this is powerful, clearly showing that iraq hols oil and the 'giant' hand shows that there a sense of power shown in this piece.

With this art piece i see a rich person smoking a cigar! the pound sign and even the face it makes seems like a rich man and smoking a cigar is very powerful and shows that he is of high class.

this is well used as you can see a covered face even though there was any detail put on to the face in the first place & you could also see facial features through the zip! 

This is also a powerful piece which I feel can give a good message! it shows a soldier or a commander which with a nuclear sign as his face and this shows the damage that war can cause with very minimal description.

El Lissitzky

this peice of work appeals to me because of the way he has set out the text which I feel is eye catching & makes you want to fully read and understand what it says..

I like this peice of work because I think its visually pleasing and works wel with woman shouting the text and shape next to it makes the image self explanatory...

Visual Journey

In my visual journey project I attempted to make a map of where i went through shapes using illustrator, making the layout of it i had high hopes for it and believe'd it would work but after making the map I couldn't see how I would make it clear to myself or an audience where I went..

I personally like the look of this and would like to add to it and make a complete piece of this work, even though i could continue this for aslong as possible but I see this piece as a failed attempt to show my visual journey.

I have drew 5 different images of views i had in a sequence on my visual journey and will put them together in a comic strip like sequence...

Sense of Place

Here is my brainstorming and thoughts of how I would approach my sense of place for my chosen place which was starbucks...

This is my drawing of the starbucks in cabot circus bristol, since I have chosen to show how personal you can make starbucks is I have set graffiti around the room and things that may spring to 'my' mind when I am looking around..
